The retreat, situated atop sand dunes, has been designed as per traditional principles of Vaastu, synergizing the flow of positive energy. Spread across an expanse of over 100 acres, The Desert Resort also houses an oasis within its compound fed with recycled water, an in-house dairy and solar-heating.

Principles of sustainability and social consciousness drive us at The Desert Resort, Mandawa.
We attempt to incorporate sustainable practices of living in our everyday functioning—from providing employment opportunities to local communities, preserving the cultural heritage of the region to fostering a symbiotic relationship with the environment. Our farm-to-table dining concept is borne out of this ethos. Our kitchen is supplied with garden-fresh produce that is grown on-grounds or sourced locally. Spread across a hundred acres, the farm paints a striking image of lush green against the stark dunes. Vegetables and herbs are procured from the farm on a daily basis while pulses and grains are grown seasonally and stored. All meats are bought fresh every day. The in-house dairy supplies milk to the kitchen to meet all dairy requirements. For a truly authentic farm-to-fork experience, our guests are welcome to take a walk through the farm and pluck the vegetables for their chosen dishes themselves, often with a rare migratory bird sighting thrown in. Our seasoned chefs then turn these homegrown ingredients into culinary delicacies using traditional cooking techniques that retain the authenticity of the flavours. We prioritise ‘fresh and local’ to give our guests a world-class experience.
